Halle Berry, who is still the only woman of color to win an Oscar for Lead Actress, was among the bevy of celebrities that attended the opening of Tyler Perry Studios on October 5th in Atlanta, Georgia, where she had one of the twelve stages named in her honor.
Aside from Berry (#11), the other eleven stages are named after Oprah Winfrey (#1), Whoopi Goldberg (#2), Sir Sidney Poitier (#8), Will Smith (#3), Harry Belafonte (#9), Cicely Tyson (#4), Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis (#6), and the late John Singleton (#7), Diahann Carroll (#5), Spike Lee and Della Reese (#10), and Denzel Washington (#12) have sound stages
